Here at The Wax Place we provide full body waxing for both men & women. For all Manzilans you must be 18 years of age or older. For all Brazilian and Bikini Services, you must be 18 years of age or 16 and up with signed parental consent. All waxing is done with hard wax which is less painful then traditional strip wax.

Acne | Anti-Aging | Blood Thinners

Clients who are on acne medication or creams such as Tretinoin, Clindamycin or other prescribed but not limited to over the counter acne products must discontinue using the products 7 days prior to waxing. This includes all face washes and lotions used for acne. Products like Accutane® must discontinue the use 6 months prior to any waxing. Anti-aging products like Retinol and any other creams or washes must also be discontinued 7 days prior. Skin lifting can occur on those using any of the above. If you're taking medications please advise your waxer prior to waxing. Blood thinners and other medication can cause bruising or lifting as well.

Skin Concerns

Please do not come in when you have any active breakouts such as cold sores/herpes, genital warts, chafing, ringworm, active dermatitis or rashes etc. anywhere on the body part that you plan on getting waxed or that will be exposed during the service. Service will be refused with no exceptions. Waxing over areas like these can cause lifting of the skin and further spreading or damage of the epidermis. This does not include acne related skin issues.

All body and face waxing is prohibited to those who have overexposure to the sun (i.e. sunburn/peeling) as wax can lift the skin and cause scarring or open lesions.

Hair Length | Prepping

PLEASE DO NOT TRIM.

IF TRIMMING IS REQUIRED, WE WILL DO IT.

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1/4 INCHES OF HAIR GROWTH TYPICALLY 14 DAYS OF GROWTH IN ORDER TO BE WAXED PROPERLY! IT'S OK IF IT IS LONGER.

Wear loose fitting clothes to your appointment.

After each wax you will need to avoid all tight fitting, non-breathable clothes.

Exfoliate the area 24hrs prior to your wax to prime the hair before removal. This is optional but beneficial.

Come to all appointments clean and showered.

It's Not Optional It's Necessary

Exfoliation, exfoliation, exfoliation!!! I can't say it enough! This process will help maintain clear skin after waxing by sloughing off dead skin cells and allowing hairs to come through the hair follicle easier. This should be done 3 to 4 times a week on dry skin before the shower if using a dry brush or 2 to 3 times a week in the shower if using our recommended Fur Silk Scrub to prevent ingrown hairs.

But that's only half of it ...

You must pair your exfoliation with hydration otherwise your skin will dry out and it will defeat the whole purpose. We recommend Fur Oil or Fur Concentrate . This product should be used everyday starting after each wax. Fur Oil will continue fighting against bacteria and ingrown hairs throughout the day with its highly concentrated blend of essential oils.

Prone to Ingrown hair? Don't worry we have other serums that pack a punch that you can add to your everyday routine.

For The First 24 to 48hrs

After a wax service refrain from working out, spray tans, saunas, swimming, sun exposure to waxed areas, and sexual activities ( if waxing the bikini area) for at least 24 to 48hrs. Your pores are opened after a wax and if bacteria enters the pores it can cause irritation and a pimple like rash. If you have a special event wax 2 to 3 days prior to event.
